Cute Kleenex Desktop Companion

These cute Kleenex tissues box is really adorable. Designed by Chris Yoon a student at Portfolio Center.

This project began with a thought to design packaging with designers in mind, so I started to brainstorm for everyday items that could be reimagined and eventually landed upon Kleenex. Since I’m including myself in the target audience, I started to think through how the packaging could be designed so that it would be something I would enjoy having on my desk. Beyond simply decorating a Kleenex box, I wanted to think through how the product (the tissues) could interact with the packaging once it was open, which eventually led to a typewriter loaded with paper, a whale spraying from his blowhole, a cottage emitting smoke, and any number of executions that fit that idea - Chris Yoon

Hot 2012 Disney Pin-Up Calendar

For some people, choosing a specific calendar is a hard decision, and they usually just end up buying the one that is right there in front of them. It doesn't really matter what the design is, just as long as there are some dates on there and a few lines to write things on.

If you are a big fan of pin-up calendars, and if you love the Disney franchise (however weird that might sound), you should have a look at the new 2012 Disney Pin-Up Calendar. Yeah, it has 19 beautifully drawn Disney characters in miniscule clothes. We have featured a lot of Disney characters in weird images and they are usually very popular, so I take it this concept is going to be a huge success this year.

Design by J. Scott Campbell and this time he created a set of 19 Disney princesses all put into a nice looking calendar for your viewing pleasure. It's truly amazing art, and the skills that Mr. Campbell harbors are just beyond amazing. You will be able to get the calendar at J. Scott Campbell's website for just USD25.

Please be remind. Viewer discretion is advised.

Bizarre Public Art All Over The World

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like seeing a whole lot of strange public art in recent times. I can't say that I don't like the idea of weirder and weirder public art popping up all over the world, but I thought that let's round up a few of favorite examples here.

Scroll through for some of the bizarre or maybe out-of-box style public art around the world.

2500 Rainbow Toy Car

Okay toy car collectors, kids, everyone else... please maintain yourself. The Toy Atlas Rainbow is a wonderful installation of 2,500 old toy cars by UK artist David T. Waller. They are lined up spiraling from the center and out to create a colorful rainbow, which at first strikes you to be a perfectly normal carpet.

The piece won the People's Award at the Arts Depot Open last year. As absurdy beautiful as this thing is, don't you just want to take a running slide into it and start playing with all those freaking cars?
